1. Raw Material Preparation
Sawdust wood pellets are mainly made from wood waste such as sawdust, shavings, straw, and rice husks through a series of processing steps. Before processing, the raw materials need to be treated, then dried, compressed, and shaped into rubber-sized finished pellets.
2. Crushing Process - Wood Hammer Mill Crusher
The wood biomass hammer mill achieves the crushing effect through high-speed collision between hammers and materials. Our multi-functional wood material crusher is your ideal choice. It can crush raw materials including branches, shavings, sawdust, wood, cotton stalks, corn stalks, wheat straw, etc. After crushing, these materials can reach a diameter of 3-5 mm, and then are sent to the next process for drying and pelletizing.
3. Drying Process - Wood Chip Drying Equipment
Before pelleting, the ideal moisture content of the raw materials must be between 14-16% to achieve good pelleting results, therefore, the drying process is essential. The drum dryer uses steam heating to dry the raw materials, and the rotating drum ensures uniform drying of the materials.
4. Pelletizing Process - Pelletizer
Ring die pelletizers are widely used in wood pellet production lines for pelleting biomass energy such as wood and straw. The output range is 1 to 10 tons/hour. The biomass pelletizer uses Swedish SKF bearings and Siemens motors to ensure high capacity and stable operation.
5. Cooling Process - Pellet Cooler
After pelleting, the temperature of the wood pellets from the ring die biomass pelletizer is 60-80 degrees Celsius, and the moisture content is 15%. Cooling can reduce the moisture content by about 3-4%, making the wood pellets easier to store. However, some customers have reported that their local climates are very humid, and their wood pellets have a moisture content as high as 7-8%. This is not a problem; our new counter-current coolant can solve this problem effectively.
6. Packaging Process - Packaging Machinery
For easy storage, the packaging process is essential. Our semi-automatic or fully automatic pellet packaging machines effectively handle the packaging process.
